*eCSSited's featured chat last night was a blast :#1:. `thespook was kind enough to allow us to pick at his brains (like Zombies :D). Some great questions were asked, and I can't wait for the log to be posted :aww:

What's happening with me? Erm... Not a lot :D My "Books to read" pile multiplied on Wednesday, so I had 11 books to read, and i've gotten it down to 9, and by the end of the weekend it shall be 8 :D Should be seeing the boyfriend today. I think :o :giggle:

Gallery-wise; yep. Definite lack of submissions. I'm working on some CSS stuff though (i've been bitten by the bug! :XD: ) and one of those might get uploaded in the future. Maybe some more emoticons.

Ooh! Ooh! I almost forgot. I got a call from Twinlakes the other day :D My trial day is on the 23rd of July :excited:

The Life and Times of Moi
Well, Honk!'s over, which is kinda sad for me. Alex, the sound tech we got in specially for Honk!, left to go back home.He was great fun, and had some amusing, but handy advice =p. Tom, some of one of the teachers at school, spent the past week gaffa taping every single wire he saw to the wall, floor, another wire, etc. To give you an idea of what the band area looked like;

Say you have two wires. They start off running together, but one ends up taking a detour around, say, a mic stand, but then eventually joins up with the other wire. Got that pictured in your head?

Now, would you a) move the "detour wire" so it stayed with the other wire and tape them both together, or b) tape each wire individually, creating a mess and wasting tape at the same time?

Tom chose option b.
I spent Wednesday morning helping to pack away all the equipment and clear the stage. When I walked in the first thing I saw, on the front row of seats, was a huge roll of gaffa tape.
It was all the gaffa tape Tom used for Honk!. I think it was about 30cm in diameter (12 inches).

The whole thing was kinda amusing though. Honk! is basically a musical version of the story of the Ugly Duckling. So it's songs are damned catchy, and after a week or so of four hour rehearsals, the songs get stuck in your head. Like the time some of the stage crew and I went to get fish and chips, and started singing some of the Honk! songs whilst we waited for out food.

It was embarassing, but oh so much fun :D

We had to confiscate a large screw-driver from Dave, the technician employed by the school, as he was getting rather perplexed with Tom. I believe the words "stab" "repeatedly" and "until I can no longer move my arm" were mentioned.... :D

So what does the summer hold for me? Well i'm filling out an application form to work at Twinlakes. It's a kind of (stress on kind of) theme park nearby. So I might get paid work. Woo! But I might have to deal with small children, and i'm not very good with kids :noes: Ahh well. Money is money :)

Shiny Stuff!
It's Stock and Resources Week!
Check it out here!

*eCSSited is having their first contest
Check it out here, and start designing!

=Pysch is having a fun contest that covers, seemingly, all genres! Check it out here!

I know i'm entering, are you? :D

Life, Features and Fluff

The life and times of
So, what've I been up to? Not a lot. For those of you who talk to me on dAmn, you'll know that I've been attempting installs of Ubuntu, but failed, and am now running Fedora. You may also know I have a new duck (BIG surprise there ;p) and eventually i'll update my Duck journal to tell you about him.

And what did I spend today doing? Sitting around in the theatre being bored and doing nothing. Honk! Isn't ready for the performances Sat-Tue. The lights aren't focused to the lighting designers spec, some lights from the old show need taking down.. I'm supposed to be running the lights, and if i'm lucky i'll get one rehearsal before the shows. Plus it's a musical and some of the kids can't sing :| It was bound to happen, but...ouch.

Anyways, i'm spending extra time there tomorrow as I need to take some stuff back and mum doesn't want to run me in twice. That's going on till at least 8.. so 6 hours. Normall i'd love it. But if there's nothing to do it's a bit meh.

Following ^znow-white's Artisan Craft's tutorial feature i've had the urge to buy sculpey and make some cute charms, so expect some of those up in the future =p

And I seem to be losing track of the days; I think it's wednesday today for some odd reason :o

Comment...
and I shall...

a) tell you why I friended you,
b) associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, etc.,
c) tell you something I like about you,
d) tell you a memory I have of you,
e) ask something I've always wanted to know about you,
f) tell you my favorite pic of yours,
g) in return, you must post this in your journal.

(I got this from :iconspinachbaron: =p
